CVS Health is seeking a Shift Supervisor Trainee to develop management skills and prepare for supervisory roles. The position involves overseeing store operations, enhancing customer service, and interacting with staff. Successful candidates will gain valuable experience in a dynamic retail environment, paving the way for future advancement.
The Shift Supervisor Trainee role is an entry-level, short-term position designed to prepare employees for higher supervisory roles such as Operations Supervisor or Shift Supervisor. The trainee performs assigned work to develop management skills, completes training on store operations, and learns about key aspects of the business, including building customer loyalty through exceptional service and understanding CVS/pharmacy culture.
Upon successful completion of the training program, trainees are considered for promotion to open supervisory positions. These roles support the store management team by driving store performance and fostering customer loyalty through excellent service. When no manager is onsite, the supervisor leads store staff, ensures smooth operations, and completes all opening and closing procedures.
Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent. Candidates should have retail experience, deductive reasoning, analytical and computer skills, and advanced communication skills. Flexibility to work early mornings, overnights, weekends, and overtime as needed is essential.
The pay range reflects the base hourly rate or annual salary, depending on the position. Actual compensation will depend on experience, education, location, and other factors.
