Job summary

Touchstone Climbing is hiring a Shift Supervisor for Aisle 19, the Bay Area’s new bouldering gym in San Francisco. You will lead day-to-day front desk operations, elevate member service, and help build a welcoming community for climbers and fitness enthusiasts alike.

The role covers coaching staff, managing memberships, coordinating events, and partnering with management to ensure safety, cleanliness, and a great guest experience at our new facility in San Francisco.

Qualifications

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to teach and engage groups of varying ages and abilities.
• Attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Comfort with computers and POS systems.
• Knowledge of climbing techniques.
• CPR/First Aid certified or willingness to obtain (training provided).
• Ability to lift 30–50 lbs and remain on your feet for extended shifts.
• Available regularly during peak hours with the ability to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead front desk operations and respond to member inquiries.
• Manage complex memberships and report issues to management.
• Coordinate social media, incident reporting, and events.
• Oversee staff scheduling, training, and assessments.
• Ensure cleanliness, safety, and welcoming environment.
• Support retail operations and product recommendations.
• Debrief daily events and plan team actions.
• Coordinate time off with shift leads for coverage.
