Job summary

Museum of Illusions in Sacramento is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead 7–10 floor staff during shifts and ensure exhibits operate smoothly while delivering outstanding guest service. You will handle guest inquiries, refunds and discounts, and escalate issues to management as needed.

The role requires nights and weekend availability and a proactive, customer-facing mindset. This full-time position reports to the General Manager and includes responsibilities like opening/closing, maintaining

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a customer facing role.
• Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the arts, entertainment, performance or hospitality is a plus.
• A go-getter attitude.
• Proactive, accountable, and trustworthy.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to 7–10 floor staff during shifts and assign roles to meet operational needs.
• Monitor guest satisfaction by being present on the museum floor and addressing questions or concerns.
• Mediate and resolve conflicts between employees or between guests and staff as needed.
• Serve as first contact for visitors; handle refunds and discount inquiries.
• Perform opening and closing duties and follow daily checklists; maintain museum cleanliness.
• Assist with minor maintenance tasks and coordinate with technicians for scheduled maintenance.
