Job summary

Applegreen is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure top-notch customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety. You will train new team members and monitor compliance with cash handling procedures.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, operating POS, maintaining food safety, and proactive product knowledge while supporting a busy travel plaza environment.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Friendly, outgoing interaction with the public.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with customers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in line with company policies.
• Operate the POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling including labeling, dating, stocking, storing and temperature checks.
• Handle kitchen tasks such as prepping, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products to customers.
• Maintain product knowledge and assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards, food safety requirements, and company policies.
• Report observations or issues to plaza leadership.
• Execute various other tasks as needed.
