Job summary

Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead shifts, ensure exceptional customer service, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements. You will train newly hired team members and monitor compliance with cash handling policies.

The role involves operating the POS system, handling cash, and performing a variety of kitchen-related tasks while maintaining food safety and product quality across the plaza. Flexible scheduling is available.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards and all company policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Perform additional tasks as assigned.
