Job summary

Applegreen in New Jersey seeks a Shift Supervisor to lead on-shift teams and ensure exceptional customer service across our travel plaza locations. You will train new team members, monitor cash handling, and uphold brand standards and food safety requirements.

Responsibilities include opening/closing procedures, operating the POS, and maintaining product quality, along with cross-selling and maintaining knowledge of available services.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily, and closing procedures per policy.
• Operate the POS system and process payments according to cash handling rules.
• Ensure proper food handling, wrapping, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products; maintain product knowledge.
• Assist in training new team members and follow brand standards and procedures.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems and perform other assigned tasks.
