Applegreen is hiring a Shift Supervisor to lead on-site operations at our New Jersey plazas. You will guide team members to deliver top-notch customer service, ensure cash handling accuracy, and uphold brand standards and food safety policies.

The role involves opening/closing duties, training new staff, and actively engaging with travelers to resolve concerns while maintaining a fast-paced, friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging with travelers and resolving complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures in accordance with policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling procedures.
• Ensure proper food handling, including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperatures.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping, and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products; maintain product knowledge.
• Assist in training new team members and adhere to brand standards and policies.
