Job summary

Applegreen is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations at our New Jersey plazas. You’ll ensure excellent customer service, oversee cash handling, and uphold brand standards and food safety rules.

You'll train new team members, manage opening and closing tasks, operate the POS, perform kitchen duties, stock and sanitize stations, and contribute to a positive, fast-paced travel plaza environment.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service by engaging in positive, helpful interactions with customers and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists in accordance with company policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments accurately, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling procedures including wrapping, labeling, dating, stocking, storing, rotating, and checking temperature.
• Perform kitchen tasks such as prepping, thawing, cooking, packaging, wrapping and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products; maintain knowledge of plaza offerings.
• Assist in the training of new team members and follow brand standards and policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or issues; execute other tasks as assigned.
