Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager in a fast-paced retail environment. You will lead a winning team on each shift, set the tone, coach staff, and handle food service, stocking, cleaning, and cash tasks with a guest-first mindset.

You'll drive operational excellence through training, inventory control, and compliance, while communicating with leadership and ensuring team alignment throughout the day.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience (retail, restaurant, or food service preferred).
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks without frequent breaks.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead a Winning Team on Your Shift by setting a cheerful, can-do attitude, providing direction, and coaching team members.
• Drive Operational Excellence by training staff to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards; manage inventory, vendor check-in, and promotions.
• Model Communication & Accountability by relaying updates from leadership, monitoring task completion, and fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork.
