Job summary

Applegreen in New Jersey is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations at our travel plaza. You will manage a team, ensure excellent customer service, handle cash, and uphold food safety and brand standards.

Responsibilities include training new staff, maintaining POS procedures, and coordinating shifts while ensuring a welcoming, fast-paced guest experience. Flexible schedules and benefits are available.

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Demonstrates the ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Consistently provide friendly customer service and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists per policies.
• Operate POS system, process payments, and follow cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling, labeling, dating, stocking, and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen-related tasks including prepping and cleaning.
• Stock, clean, and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Cross-sell and up-sell products and assist in training new team members.
• Follow brand standards and company policies; report concerns to plaza leadership.
