Job summary

The GEO Group, Inc. is hiring for a security supervisory role within GEO Secured Services. The position oversees security and staff in an assigned area, coordinating prisoner supervision and safety, and preparing required records.

You will develop and implement policies for custody, respond to incidents, and train staff while maintaining logs and ensuring compliance with applicable procedures. GEO emphasizes wellbeing and opportunities within a global leader in evidence-based rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent certification required.
• College coursework in behavioral sciences or related field preferred.
• Three (3) years of experience in a correctional setting, with supervisory capabilities.
• Ability to manage detainees/inmates and staff under stress.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement policies for custody, security and treatment of detainees/inmates.
• Respond to major unusual occurrences; provide assistance to detainees/inmates in injury, illness or emotional trauma.
• Promote an atmosphere conducive to positive behavior and staff development; ensure facility safety.
• Direct and train staff; oversee hiring, training, performance reviews and disciplinary actions.
• Prepare records and reports; maintain daily logs; ensure compliance with security procedures.
• Ensure attainment of facility goals and adherence to rules and procedures for security operations.
• Provide detainee supervision and security in other areas as needed; perform other duties as assigned.
