Job summary

Blue Bottle Coffee is looking for a Shift Supervisor to lead hospitality, uphold cafe standards, and drive toward business objectives. This role involves hands-on leadership, inventory control, onboarding, and ensuring smooth service flow.

You will train team members, manage cash and inventory, respond to guest concerns, and uphold safety and quality across beverage and food service. A passion for coffee and continuous improvement is essential.

Qualifications

• 6 months to 1 year of supervisory or team-lead experience.
• Completion or near-completion of Blue Bottle Academy Barista training and validation.
• State-required Food Safety Certification or plan to obtain within 30 days post-hire.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lead cafe operations to ensure safety, cleanliness, quality and efficiency.
• Oversee stock management, ordering, receiving and inventory control.
• Manage cash handling and daily deposits.
• Provide onboarding and ongoing training for new team members.
• Deliver exceptional hospitality and guest experiences consistent with Blue Bottle standards.
• Support ongoing operations and continuous improvement within the cafe.
