Job summary

Qualifications

• BS or BA in engineering or related field; 5–7 years of experience in supervision.
• Experience supervising associates in a production environment, preferably drug and/or cosmetic.
• Knowledge of production equipment, safe operating techniques, product capabilities and troubleshooting.
• Strong teamwork; ability to motivate, communicate, and proactively develop associates.
• Experience in an FDA‑GMP environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead and monitor daily production for the assigned value stream.
• Supervise line activities, provide work direction, production schedules, and training for continuous improvement.
• Ensure safety, quality, teamwork, and continuous improvement in line with business unit policies.
• Monitor order compliance to maintain on-time delivery and desired inventory levels.
• Perform data collection and provide metrics and reporting as required.
• Communicate daily with Operations Manager, offering proactive solutions to problems.
• Serve as back-up to the Operations Manager as needed.
• Lead improvement projects aligned with safety, quality, and waste reduction goals.
• Assess current state, set targets, and develop action items to achieve results.
• Ensure staffing meets workloads and equipment operates within tolerances.
• Coordinate with HR, Quality, WHSE, Planning, Payroll, etc., for smooth operations.
• Maximize line uptime and throughput; review scrap and resolve quality concerns.
• Control labor and material usage to minimize waste.
