Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America seeks a production shift supervisor to direct assigned production staff, manage shift safety, quality, and sanitation, and ensure smooth operation. You will coordinate shift performance to meet goals and maintain records and communications with Plant Manager.

The role requires a college degree in Management or Food Science (preferred) or a HS diploma with 3–5 years related experience, strong communication, detail, and teamwork skills, and proficiency with basic computer

Qualifications

• College degree in Management or Food Science preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3-5 years related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs assigned production employees during a shift.
• Maintain communication with activities of the production shift.
• Ensure shift safety, quality and sanitation performance.
• Coordinate shift performance to meet goals.
• Review production and manpower needs at shift start.
• Assist with investigations for out-of-spec products.
• Maintain shift paperwork: absentee reports, production records.
• Oversee sanitation program and cleaning chemical levels.

Education

College degree in Management or Food Science

High school diploma or equivalent
