Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Production Shift Supervisor to direct assigned production employees and manage shift performance. You will handle administrative tasks, ensure safety, quality, and sanitation, and coordinate with the Plant Manager on production goals.

Strong leadership and communication are essential. The role requires 3–5 years of related experience and a college degree in Management or Food Science is preferred; a high school diploma is also acceptable.

Qualifications

• College degree preferred in Management or Food Science, or related field.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 3–5 years of related experience in production/shift supervision.

Responsibilities

• Reviews current and anticipated production at shift start.
• Manpower assessment for efficient shift operation.
• Assist production employees to meet product specifications.
• Investigate out-of-spec products and correct causes.
• Maintain safety rules and proper operating procedures.
• Relay information from Plant Manager to production staff.
• Maintain production-related paperwork (absences, bills of lading, records, lab results).
• Oversee sanitation program and cleaning chemical levels.
