Job summary

BD is seeking a manufacturing supervisor to lead a production unit on the factory floor, coaching associates on safety, quality and output. You will drive daily operations, ensure policy adherence, and partner with Planning to meet schedules.

The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement, with staffing responsibilities and a focus on quality and cost control. English proficiency is required for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Associate’s degree completed or in progress preferred.
• In lieu of an Associate’s degree, 3 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment required.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Address safety issues or incidents promptly.
• Spend ~75% of time on production floor leading associates.
• Staffing and training plans within the department.
• Provide regular, timely feedback to associates.
• Create a learning environment and challenge associates to meet higher standards.
• Maintain open communication between production staff and management.
• Represent concerns of associates to management and vice versa.
• Ensure consistent application of policies; involve HR when needed.
• Support continuous improvement activities.
• Coordinate with Production Planning to set schedules and monitor performance.
• Track department metrics and communicate progress to team and management.
• Lead daily production operations.
• Perform other duties to support business needs.
