Job summary

BD in the United States (CT – Canaan) is seeking a production supervisor to lead line operations, manage staffing and training plans, and uphold safety, quality, and Lean principles. Daily interactions on the production floor involve Safety, TPM, and Run to Excellence initiatives, with close collaboration to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement.

The role requires hands-on leadership on the line, effective communication between associates and management, and proactive problem-solving

Qualifications

• Degree level qualification; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Address safety issues or incidents promptly.
• Staffing and training plans for assigned shift.
• Daily touchpoints with line associates to support Run to Excellence.
• Provide regular, timely, and specific feedback to associates and conduct monthly 1:1s.
• Ensure clear communication between production associates and management.
• Support timely resolution of issues on the line and apply root cause investigation.
• Spend 100% of time on the production floor except for necessary meetings or performance conversations with associates.
• Communicate results and elevate issues to the Line Leader.
• Responsible for accurate material management, work order setup, reconciliation and cycle counts.
• Conduct daily batch reviews (DHRs).
• Collaborate with Quality, Maintenance, and other support roles to build a cross-functional team.

Education
