Job summary

Dairy Challenge in California is seeking a Shift Lead to assist the supervisor in directing daily production, assigning tasks, training staff, and providing vacation relief while ensuring a quality product and compliance with GMP, HACCP, safety, and plant policies.

You will monitor equipment, maintain sanitary conditions, and support continuous improvement initiatives while leading production during shifts in the supervisor's absence and ensuring targets are met.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of manufacturing/production experience, preferably in the dairy or consumer goods industry.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification and/or License – may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities and resources of daily production including work assignments, training, break, and vacation relief.
• Lead shifts in the supervisor's absence.
• Ensure product flow and that all product meets specifications; maintain GMP/HACCP compliance.
• Perform master sanitation tasks and monitor equipment parameters.
• Promote safety and sanitary food environment; support continuous improvement.
