Job summary

Dairy Farmers of America is seeking a Production Shift Lead to assist the supervisor in directing daily production activities, assign work, train staff, and cover breaks or vacations. The role emphasizes quality product output, safety, sanitation, and adherence to GMP, HACCP, and plant policies while managing equipment efficiency.

You will monitor product flow, support continuous improvement, and ensure all tasks meet standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years manufacturing/production experience with demonstrated leadership attributes.
• Certification and/or License may be required during course of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the supervisor in directing daily production activities and resources; manage work assignments, training, breaks, and relief.
• Lead a shift and ensure production of a quality product; complete master sanitation tasks.
• Maximize equipment efficiency and minimize turn-around times; ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, safety and all plant policies.
• Monitor product specifications and equipment performance; report deviations to supervisor or manager.
• Support safety as a priority and maintain a sanitary food environment; participate in continuous improvement.
