Job summary

TE Connectivity is seeking a Manufacturing Team Leader for the first shift in North Carolina. You will lead a team to ensure safety, uptime, quality, and efficiency, coach operators, manage daily outputs, and drive 5S and process improvements.

Strong communication and technology skills are essential. You will partner with supervisors to optimize schedules, resolve production issues, and ensure adherence to SOPs, JSAs, and ISO standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 2 years manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to lead and motivate a group of peers without direct supervision authority.
• Strong performance feedback showing technical competence and leadership.
• Working knowledge of production flow and processes.
• Strong interpersonal and written/oral communication skills for leading others.
• Basic computer skills including data entry, SAP manufacturing and ISO 9001 knowledge.
• Must be proficient in English.

Responsibilities

• Perform production processes as lead operator.
• Provide training to shift team members on SOPs, processing techniques, equipment, quality procedures, and certifications.
• Ensure proper production processes are followed by assigned employees.
• Analyze and report production results to Supervisor.
• Allocate resources based on production planning.
• Assist in resolving production process issues and drive process improvements.
• Lead daily Tier II meetings and support 5S, safety, quality and procedures.
• Coordinate troubleshooting with operators and refer to Engineering for root causes.
• Partner with Shift Supervisor to maximize productivity and maintain safety culture.
• Develop, implement and maintain operational procedures and controls to meet customer quality standards.
• Participate in the PIM process and communicate customer specs/changes.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across Safety, Quality, Logistics, Process, and Operations teams.
