Job summary

Quad/Graphics, a global marketing experience company, is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of a press production shift. You will supervise crew on the floor, ensure safety, quality and productivity, and drive performance to meet production goals.

You will partner with the Plant Director and Department Manager to optimize procedures, coach operators, and implement Lean and 6S practices.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in manufacturing operations.
• 3–5 years of supervisory experience.
• Experience supervising press production is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership on the floor in a professional and timely manner.
• Set and enforce quality, safety, and performance expectations.
• Direct the work of a shift of press employees, including hiring and training.
• Provide coaching and feedback to press operators.
• Adjust procedures to meet production schedules and capacity.
• Collaborate with Plant Director to drive process improvements.
• Manage staffing levels to optimize shift performance.
• Participate in incident investigations.
• Define shift objectives with the Department Manager.
• Develop training programs with Training Coordinator.
• Interpret customer job specs with press staff.
• Maintain awareness of print material intricacies.
• Advise on production aspects and ensure maintenance timing.
