Job summary

Del Taco is seeking a Shift Manager to assist the General Manager in leading daily restaurant operations and developing a high-performing team. Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in quick service restaurant environment with demonstrated ability to ensure guest satisfaction and ability to train and maintain an on-going guest service delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise team to deliver quality guest service, food quality, safety, and cost controls.
• Run shifts and support GM with policy execution and program adherence.
• Know all work station functions and required paperwork for recording and monitoring each job.
• Supervise 1 to 7 team members and ensure staffing decisions are made with guidance from GM.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and ethical business practices during shifts.
• Support GM in creating an employer of choice environment and staff development.
• Provide leadership, direction, and training to the restaurant team.
• Assist GM with staffing decisions, interviews, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Deliver results in quality, guest service, safety, and product preparation while maintaining a cheerful demeanor.
• Explain menu items accurately to guests and handle POS transactions correctly.
• Follow food safety, handling, and sanitation standards and company policies.
