Job summary

Church's Chicken is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee the store's shift operations, guest experience, and sales performance. You will lead the team to deliver brand-excellent guest service and follow operating policies in the absence of the store manager.

Responsibilities include guiding team members on duties, maintaining safety and security procedures, driving sales through promotions, and ensuring food safety and cost controls on your shift.

Qualifications

• Lead team members on shifts, assign tasks and provide feedback or training.
• Follow policies and procedures to ensure brand standards and guest satisfaction.
• Ensure security procedures, cash handling, opening/closing duties and safety protocols are followed.
• Promote sales on the shift through suggestive selling and promotions knowledge.
• Maintain product quality standards and manage line setup during shifts.
• Complete e-learning requirements as needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize huddle board to position the team and adhere to labor laws and safety procedures.
• Ensure all security and cash handling procedures are executed properly.
• Transition into opening/closing duties and manage daily shift operations.

• Lead line management, uphold product quality standards, and support promotions on shift.
• Count drawers and follow daily cash handling procedures.

Job description

As a Shift Leader, you will be responsible for the overall shift operations, guest experience, sales performance, and execution of brand excellence in a store. In the absence of the manager, the shift leader effectively leads the team to execute great guest service and follows operating policies and procedures.

The duties and responsibilities described are not a comprehensive list and additional tasks may be assigned from time to time or the scope of the job may change as necessitated by business demands so please discuss the job responsibilities with the Owner and/or his/her designee. He/She/They will review the essential job functions, which are normally defined as the fundamental activities conducted on a daily or regular basis that will affect the success of the restaurant.

• Lead team members on shifts, including assigning tasks (cleaning, line duties, opening/closing duties), providing feedback and training
• Utilize the huddle board to effectively position the teamKnow and support appropriate personnel policies, labor laws and safety procedures
• Ensure all security procedures are executed (safe procedures, open/close procedures etc.)
• Transition into opening/closing duties
• Make guests really happy by providing great guest service
• Resolve guest complaints/issues
• Lead team members to open, transition, and close shifts
• Manage and organize the line and delegate duties to team members
• Know and uphold standards for product quality
• Work the line as needed
• Promote sales on the shift through suggestive selling and knowledge on in-store promotions
• Execute and support all food safety requirements and practice
• Control food costs, labor, waste, and cash on the shift
• Count drawers and follow proper daily cash handling procedures
