Job summary

McDonald's is seeking a Shift Manager to lead shifts and ensure fast, accurate, and friendly service while upholding high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.

You will plan for each shift, monitor performance, and support crew to meet McDonald’s standards. Responsibilities include safety, profitability, and preparing the next Shift Manager for a successful handover.

Qualifications

• Previous leadership experience is preferred, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment.
• Candidates must be 18 years or older and able to work a flexible schedule in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

Shift Manager Responsibilities

Managers lead shifts every week, ensuring customers receive a fast, accurate, and friendly experience on every visit. A Shift Manager provides leadership to crew and other managers during a shift to maintain high standards of quality, service, and cleanliness.

Shift Managers perform a variety of tasks, which may include planning for each shift, monitoring performance, taking action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards, monitoring safety, security, and profitability, and communicating with the next Shift Manager to help prepare him or her for a successful shift. Shift Managers may also be responsible for meeting targets during their shifts and for helping their assigned departments meet their goals.

Requirements
