Job summary

Penn Station Sandwiches in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a Shift Leader to guide a friendly, fast-paced team and ensure guest satisfaction from opening through closing. This role emphasizes teamwork, service excellence, and operational standards in a bustling restaurant environment.

The Shift Leader will coach teammates, handle guest needs, and keep the dining area, kitchen, and lobby clean while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation is required.

• Be at least 17 years old.

Responsibilities

• Taking orders, handling cash and credit cards with courteous service.
• Delivering meals to guests at table or pickup area with excellent service.
• Maintaining cleanliness of the work area, dining room, parking lot and restrooms.
• Stock to maintain inventory during the shift.
• Lead a team while upholding operating standards for hospitality and guest experience.
• Coaching, teaching and training team members on policies and procedures.
• Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards.
• Open and/or close the restaurant leading the shift as a key holder.

Responsibilities

• Serving guests by taking orders, handling cash and credit cards, by offering an immediate and respectful response to all guest's needs.
• Delivering meals to guests at their table or to a designated pick up area, and providing excellent customer service at all times.
• Maintain cleanliness of your work area and the dining room, parking lot, and restrooms.
• Stock as needed to maintain inventory throughout your shift.
• Effectively manage and lead a team of people serving our guests while maintaining our operating standards to provide the best hospitality and guest experience.
• Coaching, teaching and training team members on policies and procedures and creating a positive work environment for everyone.
