Job summary

Penn Station Sandwiches in Terre Haute, IN is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise daily restaurant operations and team performance. This role requires directing staff, ensuring high guest satisfaction, and upholding company standards in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee opening/closing shifts, handle guest orders and payments, and maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the dining area and kitchen. A friendly, reliable candidate with solid customer service skills is preferred.

Qualifications

• Be at least 17 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• You must be team-oriented, friendly, honest, and have great customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Serving guests by taking orders, handling cash and credit cards, with a respectful response to guest needs.
• Delivering meals to guests at their table or designated pickup area while providing excellent service.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, dining room, parking lot and restrooms.
• Stock as needed to maintain inventory throughout the shift.
• Lead a team of people serving guests while maintaining operating standards.
• Coach, teach and train team members on policies and procedures to create a positive environment.
• Maintain food safety and cleanliness standards.
• Open and/or close the restaurant, leading the shift as a key holder.
