Job summary

Five Guys is seeking a Shift Leader to be a hands-on leader on every shift, setting the tone and leading by example. You’ll work side-by-side with the team, ensure fast, friendly service, and uphold brand standards.

Responsibilities include running shifts when management isn’t on site, training new team members, and maintaining a clean, safe dining environment while managing cash handling and closing tasks.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of restaurant or hospitality experience (leadership preferred).
• A team-first mindset with strong communications skills.
• Ability to lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
• Basic math and comfort using POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the shift and run operations when management isn’t on site.
• Jump into every position—cashier, grill, prep, fries, dining room.
• Deliver fast, accurate service and create a great guest experience.
• Coach, support, and motivate crew members to perform at their best.
• Help train new team members and build a strong, positive culture.
• Keep the restaurant clean, safe, and up to brand standards.
• Manage shift tasks like breaks, cash handling, and closing reports.
