Job summary

Church's Texas Chicken is seeking a Shift Leader to guide team Members during shifts, coaching and developing staff to deliver an outstanding customer experience. The role ensures compliance with Cajun Operating Company policies and restaurants standards, while maintaining safe and efficient operations.

You will lead by example on service, food prep, and inventory processes, with focus on accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Completes Weekly Sales Report, Bank deposit slips, the Cash and Inventory worksheet, and other forms as required for the shift.
• Ensures accuracy of paperwork.
• Enters inventory and payroll, as required, into the POS system.
• Ensures the restaurant polls nightly by the correct closedown of the POS system.
• Adheres to cash handling and security procedures, including counts, drawer assignments and voids.
• Must possess a valid Driver’s License and have access to a vehicle during shifts, with proof of insurance.
• Must complete the Shift Leader certification program.

Responsibilities

• Monitors prompt, friendly, and courteous customer service.
• Ensures menu products are prepared and served to standard procedures.
• Ensures team members carry out assigned tasks and activities.
• Assists team members to prepare quality products, provide service, and maintain cleanliness.
• Demonstrates proper procedures for team members to follow.
• Enforces safety and security policies and procedures.
• Follows opening and closing duties per Shift Awareness Checklists.
• Follows product preparation procedures for all menu items.
• Follows receiving, handling, and storage procedures for food products.
• Follows rotation and icing procedures.
• Maintains professional and ethical leadership behaviors at all times.
• Ensures on-time attendance by each employee for shift.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
