Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a diligent Store Operations Associate in Elkhart, Indiana. You will help manage day-to-day store activities, assist customers, operate the cashier and POS, and ensure a safe, clean shopping environment.

The role requires basic math, reading and writing abilities, and a preference for prior retail experience. A high school diploma is preferred, with opportunities to grow within a supportive team in a full-time setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• One year of retail or related experience preferred.
• Ability to read, write, comprehend, and interpret documents.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Suggestive selling/knowledge of products.
• Detail oriented and accurate.

Responsibilities

• Monitor associates' adherence to company policies.
• Able to run cashier register and courtesy counter desk and handle customer concerns efficiently.
• Know store layout and location of safety and emergency equipment.
• Conduct regular inspections of all areas and provide feedback to managers.
• May close store, lock doors, turn off lights and arm/store security.
• Maintain clean, attractive, and well-stocked store.
• Follow PPE and safety guidelines and guest experience standards.
• Additional tasks in other departments as needed.
