Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED).
• 0-2 years of retail experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
• Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.
• Knowledge of retail store operations and retail management systems.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Spanish language ability may be desirable depending on location.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day department operations in the absence of the manager.
• Train associates, maintain staffing, and meet KPIs.
• Order and inventory management to minimize loss and ensure freshness.
• Validate received orders for quality, quantity, and weight.
• Oversee stocking, production, and date rotation; handle spoiled items per guidelines.
• Communicate ad items, special prices, and store rewards programs.
• Assist with scheduling, labor control, overtime, and payroll for the department.
• Support plan execution to meet company goals and KPIs.
• Participate in daily huddles and meetings; maintain clean, well-stocked department.
