Job summary

Taco Bell in Silver Spring, MD is seeking a Shift Manager to support management in daily restaurant operations, guest service, and safety standards.

The role combines hands-on crew coaching, inventory checks, cash handling, and opening/closing duties when management is unavailable.

You will help ensure fast service, product quality, and compliance with company procedures while fostering teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Customer Satisfaction: Maintains fast, accurate service, positive guest relations and ensure products are consistent with company quality standards.
• Customer Satisfaction: Conducts periodic food safety audits.
• Customer Satisfaction: Provides on-going coaching and feedback to crew on customer service, product quality and speed of service.
• Financial: Shares with the Management team day-to-day responsibility for cash procedures such as bank deposits, making change, opening/closing safe and verifying drawers.
• Operations: Conducts daily inventory, completes shift-to-shift food safety audit and sets up daily control sheets.
• Operations: Reviews facility and equipment readiness.
• Operations: Monitors inventory, food preparation and order fulfillment on a daily basis to ensure adherence to company standards.
• Operations: Monitors speed with service (SWS) performance and resolves bottlenecks to achieve SWS goals.
• Operations: In the absence of management, responsible for food and supplies deliveries and restaurant opening and closing.
• Human Resources: Provides ongoing coaching and feedback for crew employees.
• Human Resources: Provides "hands-on" training for crew in Learning Zone.
• Benefits: 30 hours week are entitled to enroll in medical, dental and 401k benefits; 32 hours a week are entitled to PTO; 36 hours a week are entitled to short term disability
• Benefits: Period bonus potential up to $1.00 per hour for every hour worked
