Modern Market Eatery is seeking a Shift Leader to grow in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You will oversee daily shifts, ensure clean operations, and support food quality and service standards in a bustling open kitchen.

The role emphasizes leadership, teamwork, and hands-on station coverage. Experience as a restaurant shift leader, strong communication, and basic food handling or alcohol service training are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of restaurant shift leader experience.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Food handlers and alcohol service training preferred.
• Ability to coordinate work of self and others.
• Ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the cleanliness of the restaurant and delegate side work tasks.
• Continually monitor our food and food quality.
• Properly perform opening and closing procedures as the manager in charge of those shifts.
• Run the shift while making sure that all employees are taking their given / mandatory breaks at the appropriate time throughout the day.
• Work all stations in the restaurant while recognizing where you are most needed at a given time.
• Assist Manager with other duties as needed.
