Job summary

Papa Johns in Monroe, NC is seeking a Shift Leader to supervise shifts and areas, ensuring high quality pizzas and customer service while driving restaurant profitability. You will enforce company policies, procedures, and safety standards and help manage cash, inventory, and labor costs.

The role requires 18+ years, 32+ hours/week, and prior restaurant shift lead experience; Serv-Safe certification is preferred. You’ll work across stations to maintain product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Serv-Safe/Local or State Food Service certification preferred.
• Previous restaurant shift lead experience preferred.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work long hours (32+ hours generally required), including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform duties of all restaurant positions.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to guidelines and expectations for each station, including dough management, accuracy, and proper portioning.
• Performs assigned workstation duties, ensures quality products, and follows product preparation procedures.
• Contributes to achieving the restaurant's product goals.
• Maintains customer satisfaction by addressing needs and reducing complaints.
• Follows all policies in the TM handbook, including image, attendance, safety and security.
• Exhibits core values and maintains a positive, flexible attitude.
• Ensures adequate shift coverage and provides immediate feedback to correct issues.
• Maintains quality, service, costs, cleanliness, and performance within set standards.
• Manages cash accurately and contributes to profitability using the FOCUS system.
• Assists in managing inventory to minimize loss.
