El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to guide the team through busy shifts, ensuring quick, friendly service and high standards of quality and cleanliness. You’ll manage opening/closing duties, supervise performance, and support cooks and crew with operational excellence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must be certified on EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ year of restaurant supervisory experience and pass EPL Food Safety Audit after hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee opening and closing procedures and security; coordinate crew tasks for setup, prep, and cleanup.
• Ensure service speed and customer satisfaction meet targets; maintain cleanliness and QSC standards.
• Prioritize tasks during shifts; adjust staffing by sales and supervise breaks for all crew.
• Train and support team on new products and procedures.
• Handle cash, deposits, and shift reports; liaise with Area Leader as needed.
