Smashburger CT is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee front-of-house and back-of-house teams, promoting a positive, fast-paced work environment. You will train staff, supervise daily operations, and ensure guest satisfaction.

Reporting to the Restaurant General Manager, you will manage schedules, uphold food safety standards, and drive performance that aligns with Smashburger’s service standards.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to manage and develop restaurant team members.
• Strong communication skills (written and verbal) across FOH/BOH.
• Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
• Highly detail-oriented with a focus on standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Manage performance of FOH & BOH staff.
• Foster a fun, positive work environment.
• Deliver effective training using SmashConnect, LMS, and training methods.
• Recognize and reward performance that exceeds standards.
• Oversee daily checklists, line checks, and uniform standards.
• Ensure food safety standards and local health regulations are followed.
• Model great guest service and communicate service standards.
• Lead onboarding and training for new hires.
• Follow cost controls and cash handling policies.
• Schedule labor and manage shifts (nights, weekends, holidays).
