Job summary

Golden Chick in Midlothian, IL is seeking a Shift Leader to join our restaurant operations team. The role focuses on supporting the management team, ensuring guests have outstanding experiences, and leading team members during each shift.

Responsibilities include supervising stations, training crew, operating POS, handling cash, and maintaining safety, cleanliness, and customer service quality while working evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must obtain State Food Handler certification within 60 days of hire.
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods; lift up to 60 pounds as needed.
• Willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist management with shift management and guest experience.
• Supervise stations for an entire shift.
• Direct and coach team members.
• Become certified in all stations including shift management, food handling, cash handling, customer recovery and catering.
• Assist with training and developing crew members.
• Shift leaders will also prepare food, operate POS, and stock supplies as required.
• Monitor safety and security protocols are followed.
• Ensure workstations are clean.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly and professionally.
• Open or close the restaurant per procedures and safety policies.
• Complete opening, mid-shift, closing, and food safety checklists.
• Communicate with customers, team members and managers in a positive, professional manner.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Must be willing to work variable schedules.
