Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a Shift Leader to guide team members and ensure a superior, member‑focused experience in a fast paced club environment. The role emphasizes leadership, reliability, and strong communication to support daily operations and achieve club KPIs.

You will greet guests, assist with questions, manage sign‑ups and billing tasks, promote our Judgement Free Zone, and coach peers to deliver consistent service while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards across the club.

Qualifications

• 6-12 months of customer service experience preferred.
• Proven background leading others.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Willing to become CPR/AED certified (Training provided).
• Basic computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Guide peers to complete tasks safely and efficiently.
• Model behaviors to provide outstanding member experience; coach others.
• Support team with elevated member concerns.
• Greet members on entry/exit and assist with questions.
• Promote the Judgement Free Zone by engaging with members on the club floor.
• Resolve member concerns and escalate to a Manager as needed.
• Answer phones and assist callers.
• Perform membership tasks: sign-ups, updates, cancellations, collections, transfers.
• Conduct tours for prospective members.
• Execute retail transactions and drive sales goals.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and facilities regularly.
• Ensure restrooms are clean and stocked.
