Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee all FOH and BOH functions, ensuring exceptional service and smooth shifts. You’ll partner with the management team to manage food and labor costs, meet sales targets, and uphold health and safety standards across all shifts.

You will greet guests, resolve complaints, train FOH staff, and supervise daily operations while maintaining high quality and sanitation. A focus on leadership, teamwork, and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in restaurant management or 2 years in food service
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required
• Read, write and communicate effectively in English
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with guests in a polite and friendly manner.
• Handle guests’ requests and complaints.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring FOH staff.
• Train and develop FOH staff to meet customer service standards.
• Ensure Team Members comply with safety, food safety, sanitation, hygiene, appearance, and uniform policies.
• Oversee daily restaurant shift operations.
• Increase sales through guest satisfaction and quick problem resolution.
• Maintain food quality and availability.
• Maintain cleanliness and stocking in all areas.
• Supervise opening and closing using checklists.
• Prepare deposits and reconcile cash drawers and safes.
• Assist in all FOH and BOH positions as needed.
• Control food and labor costs to optimize profits.
• Monitor adherence to labor laws.
• Other duties as assigned by GM.
