Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee all FOH & BOH functions, ensuring exceptional guest service and smooth shift operations. You’ll work with the management team to manage food and labor costs, meet sales goals, and uphold health and safety standards on every shift.

The role requires strong leadership, customer-service focus, and the ability to recruit, train, and develop staff while maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in related food service management position preferred, or 2 years of experience in other food service position.
• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs.
• Ability to travel occasionally for meetings, conferences, and training.

Responsibilities

• Greet and interact with guests in a polite and friendly manner.
• Handle guests’ requests and complaints.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring FOH staff.
• Train and develop FOH staff, ensuring they meet customer service standards.
• Ensure Team Members comply with all established standards, including safety and sanitation.
• Oversee daily restaurant shift operations and opening/closing procedures.
• Monitor food quality and availability; maintain cleanliness and stock.
• Assist in controlling food and labor costs and ensuring health standards.
• Support management in achieving sales goals and targets.
