Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a proactive Shift Leader to drive the restaurant team. You will coach and mentor crew, uphold quality, service, and cleanliness, and monitor costs while delivering a great guest experience.

Based at your home restaurant in Arlington, TX, you’ll lead shifts, train new hires, and collaborate with the management team to grow performance and leadership across the operation. This role offers competitive weekly pay, flexible schedules, benefits, and opportunities for career

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent experience.
• Open availability, including overnights, weekends, holidays and variable hours.
• Stand up to 10 hours, lift up to 55 lbs, and meet physical demands.
• Experience coaching or leading teams; strong customer service and multitasking.
• ServSafe Certification or ability to obtain during training.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness standards.
• Coach, train, and motivate Family Members — helping new hires ketchup quickly and seasoned pros turn up the heat.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, sales performance, and basic inventory processes.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance requirements.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive work culture.
• Prepare, lead, and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running like a well‑oiled fryer.
