Job summary

Whataburger is seeking a Shift Leader to guide daily operations, lead team members, and ensure quality, service, and cleanliness during busy shifts. You’ll coach, train, and motivate Crew Members to elevate performance.

You’ll work at your home restaurant location, partnering with the Restaurant Manager, drive efficiency on food cost, labor cost, and safety, and help build a positive work culture. This is a hands-on leadership role with growth opportunities within Whataburger.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and able to meet business needs with open availability, including overnights and weekends.
• Hold a high school diploma or GED; ServSafe certification preferred or obtainable during training.

Responsibilities

• Lead shift management to maintain quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Coach, train, and motivate crew members to improve performance.
• Support goals related to food cost, labor cost, and sales performance.
• Uphold food safety, workplace safety, sanitation, and compliance.
• Foster teamwork, communication, accountability, and a positive culture.
• Prepare and transition shift operations to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
