Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to provide oversight to Team Members in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager. You will coach, direct, recognize outstanding behavior, and set priorities for your shift while upholding food safety, quality and cleanliness standards.

You will open and/or close the restaurant and drive exceptional guest experiences. This role contributes to achieving cost and profit goals as part of an energetic, inside-out leadership team.

Qualifications

• Must be EPL Crew Member certified on all EPL SPECS positions or have 1+ years of restaurant supervisory experience.
• High School diploma or GED preferred; must pass EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA).
• Excellent written and verbal English communication; second language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Team Members in the absence of the General Manager or Assistant Manager.
• Train Team Members on policies and procedures, ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards.
• Open and/or close the restaurant and ensure superior guest experiences.
• Contribute to the achievement of cost and profit goals.
