Job summary

El Pollo Loco is seeking a Shift Leader to oversee restaurant operations during assigned shifts, ensuring fast, friendly service and adherence to company standards. You’ll coach team members, coordinate tasks, and handle opening/closing duties with accuracy and integrity.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma or GED, plus supervisory experience or certification on EPL SPECS. We offer competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and benefits, with opportunities for growth within the company.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 1+ year restaurant supervisory experience and pass EPL Food Safety Audit (FSA) after hire.
• Certified on all EPL SPECS positions or must have certification prior to or after hire.

Responsibilities

• Manage restaurant opening and closing procedures and security for shifts.
• Ensure customer service speed and quality; maintain cleanliness per QSC standards.
• Lead and support team during shift, assign tasks, and adjust staffing as needed.
• Train team on new products and procedures and uphold safety standards.
• Manage cash handling, deposits, and audits during shifts.
• Greet customers and assist with orders to ensure satisfaction.
