Job summary

Habit Burger & Grill is hiring a Shift Leader to oversee front-of-house and back-of-house operations, ensuring a smooth shift and exceptional guest experience. You will work with management to manage food and labor costs, hit sales goals, and uphold health and safety standards.

The role requires leadership, customer service focus, and strong problem-solving abilities. A flexible full-time schedule and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in related food service management position preferred, or 2 years of experience in other food service position.
• High school degree or equivalent preferred.
• Food Manager Certification and/or ServSafe Manager Certificate required.
• Ability to work a flexible full-time schedule based on restaurant needs.
• Occasional travel for meetings, conferences, and training.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests in a polite and friendly manner.
• Handle guests’ requests and complaints.
• Assist in recruiting and hiring FOH staff.
• Train and develop FOH staff to meet service standards.
• Ensure staff comply with safety, hygiene, and appearance standards.
• Oversee daily restaurant shift operations.
• Increase sales by delivering guest satisfaction and quick problem resolution.
• Maintain food quality, availability, and safety.
• Keep restaurant clean, organized, and stocked.
• Supervise opening/closing with checklists.
• Prepare deposits and reconcile cash drawers.
• Provide support across FOH and BOH as needed.
• Control food and labor costs to optimize profits.
• Monitor adherence to labor laws.
