Potbelly is hiring a Shift Leader to oversee daily shifts at our Merrillville location. You will lead team members, ensure food quality and safety, manage cash handling, and support exceptional customer service in a fast-paced kitchen.

Qualifications

• You must be at least 18 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail setting.
• Must pass state food safety requirements and obtain a Food Safety Certification.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; good problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts and assign tasks while giving feedback.
• Ensure security procedures and back-of-house standards are followed.
• Count drawers and handle daily cash procedures.
• Prepare quality finished products and maintain health and safety standards.
• Restock food lines and supplies; keep tables and surfaces clean.
