Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a hands-on Shift Manager to lead a fast-paced, team-focused store shift. You’ll coach teammates, ensure guest satisfaction, and uphold food safety and cleanliness standards while managing inventory and cash handling.

You’ll motivate a cheerful team, communicate clearly with the Co-Manager and General Manager, and model accountability and teamwork. Prior retail or food service supervision helps, and a high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience (retail, restaurant, or food service preferred).
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Comfort in fast-paced, high-volume, guest-focused environments.
• Ability to follow through on tasks and coach others to do the same.
• Strong communication and team building skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead a Winning Team on Your Shift.
• Set the tone with a cheerful, can-do attitude that motivates your team.
• Provide clear direction and assist with food service, stocking, cleaning, or cash handling.
• Coach team members in real-time, offering guidance and support during every shift.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating when necessary.
• Drive Operational Excellence and train staff to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee inventory, vendor check-in, and promotional communication.
• Manage write-offs, cash wrap, and compliance documentation on shift.
• Lead shift change communication to ensure team alignment.
• Model communication and accountability by relaying updates from leadership to shift staff.
