Job summary

RaceTrac is seeking a hands‑on Shift Manager to lead a fast‑paced, guest‑centric team on a daily basis. You’ll coach associates, ensure food safety and cleanliness, handle basic cash and inventory tasks, and communicate updates from leadership to the team.

You should bring 2–3 years in retail/food service with at least 1 year in a supervisory role, along with a High School Diploma or GED and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of work experience (retail, restaurant, or food service preferred).
• 1+ years of leadership or supervisory experience (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical tasks without frequent breaks.
• Willingness to obtain and maintain required permits (food handlers, alcohol server, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Lead a Winning Team on Your Shift by setting a cheerful, can‑do tone and guiding food service, stocking, cleaning, and cash handling.
• Coach team members in real time, offering feedback and support during every shift.
• Address guest concerns with empathy and professionalism, escalating when necessary.
• Train and guide the team to meet guest service, food safety, and cleanliness standards.
• Oversee store processes including inventory, vendor check‑in, and promotional communication.
• Lead shift change communication and ensure team alignment throughout the day.
