Job summary

Potbelly is seeking a Shift Leader in Strongsville, OH to guide team members in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The role requires supervisory experience and a Food Safety Certification, with emphasis on safety, service, and accuracy at the cash register.

You’ll lead shifts, manage tasks, restock, and ensure clean, compliant operations while delivering friendly service. Competitive pay plus tips and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age.
• Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment.
• Must pass and obtain a Food Safety Certification.
• Friendly, customer-first mindset in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to stand/walk 8–9 hours and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts, assign tasks and provide feedback.
• Follow security procedures and health and safety standards.
• Maintain back-of-house procedural standards.
• Count and balance drawers; perform cash handling procedures.
• Prepare finished products efficiently (sandwiches, salads, soups, etc.).
• Restock food lines and clean dining and kitchen areas.
• Operate cash register and address customer complaints.
• Other duties as assigned.
