Velvet Taco in Chicago, IL 60622 is hiring for a Shift Leader/Supervisor role at the Wicker Park location. The position is Full-Time/Part-Time with hourly compensation. You will lead hourly team members, supervise opening/closing, and ensure guest satisfaction with strong emphasis on food safety and team accountability.

You must be 21+, have 2 years of supervisory restaurant experience, and be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays. Competitive benefits and a vibrant culture await.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as a Shift Leader/Supervisor in a restaurant environment.
• Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Food Handler's Certification preferred.
• Alcoholic Beverage Service Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages hourly team members and interacts with guests professionally.
• Executes opening, mid, and closing duties following procedures.
• Handles guest concerns and guides to positive resolutions.
• Cash handling, POS setup, comps/voids, deposits.
• Leads by example to motivate others and maintain urgency.
• De-escalates conflicts and maintains safety and cleanliness.
• Supports inventory and food safety checks during shifts.
• Ensures adherence to recipes and flavor profiles.
• Maintains a safe work environment and proper glove use.
• Delivers friendly, welcoming guest experiences and accepts feedback.
