Job summary

Potbelly Sandwich Shop in Algonquin, IL seeks a friendly Shift Leader for part-time shifts across day, afternoon and night to energize teams and safeguard quality and service. Earn between $17.25 and $17.75 per hour plus digital tips.

You'll lead shifts, develop associates, manage tasks, handle cash and cash register procedures, and uphold food safety standards in a fast-paced kitchen environment. 18+ and 1 year supervisory experience preferred; strong communication and problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail environment preferred.
• You are at least 18 years of age.
• You must pass and obtain a Food Safety Certification as required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members on shifts, including efficient assignment of tasks while providing feedback.
• Ensure all security procedures are followed.
• Count drawers and follow proper daily cash handling procedures.
• Prepare quality finished products (sandwiches, salads, soups, cookies, etc.).
• Comply with health and safety standards for food, cleanliness and safety.
• Restock food line, chips and cooler.
• Operate cash register and handle cash procedures.
• Effectively handle customer complaints/issues.
